I will say this at the outset. As soon as I’d met Geetu and Nalin and heard their story and their vision for their wedding, I was pretty desperate to document it. Thanks to Jay’s push, they settled on me to do the job!

Geetu and Nalin described their journey thus far as one of “growing in love”. They are childhood sweethearts whose journey kicked started in Taiwan and in the process they’ve made friends from all over – right from UNSW, the Sai Baba group, to their friends from back home in Taiwan. And they are all brilliant dancers. Nothing more I say will do justice to how entertaining their wedding reception was at Dockside.

Their wedding ceremony was a fun filled affair on the lawns of Miramare Gardens. Nalin as expected arrived to a baraat that would give celebrity weddings envy. It was a blazing hot day so most of the guests took shelter under the white paper umbrellas that were provided whilst Laz and I toasted ourselves into a nice melt. Pandit Rami as always gave a stellar performance in conducting the wedding ceremony, replete with his usual repertoire of jokes and slick translation of all the vedic mantras.

The ceremony was followed by an epic meal from the guys at Surjits. Everytime I get asked about my favourite caterers at weddings, these guys have been my #1 choice. Not only are their dishes unique, their service is impeccable especially when catering for large crowds.

The MCs stole the night for me and hence we had to have them in the highlights snippet. Check out this high octane wedding and feel free to comment if you liked it!
