Juhi, Oscar, and I clicked faster than a pen in a nervous meeting. I mean, they have a Staffy and a Border Collie, and my doggo Sufi is a Staffy x Border Collie! If that’s not the universe personally matchmaking our friendship, I don’t know what is. The stars aligned, the planets nodded in agreement, and the doggos probably sensed it before we did.
Their pre-wedding shoot was basically a masterclass in being effortlessly cool. No awkward posing, no forced smiles—just pure, laidback vibes. Honestly, they made looking that good seem suspiciously easy. Meanwhile, I was over there wondering if I had something in my teeth.
Then came the Haldi. Oh boy. Imagine a festival of yellow, a splash war gone rogue, and just the right amount of chaos. Now add rain. Yep, it went from “joyful tradition” to “slippery turmeric wrestling match” real fast. People were sliding, slipping, and emerging from the battlefield looking like human sunflowers. It was glorious.
The wedding and reception at Sergeants Mess? Straight-up magazine-worthy. The outdoor setup, Sydney Harbour shimmering in the background, and a whole lot of love in the air—if you had a bingo card for “dream wedding,” you’d have filled it in five minutes. Juhi and Oscar looked absolutely stunning, and the whole event had the perfect mix of elegance and warmth.
Then came the speeches. I don’t know what’s in the water these days, but wedding speeches have officially evolved into full-blown comedy specials. We were crying—from laughter, from emotions, and maybe from realizing we’d eaten too much. Either way, 10/10 entertainment.
And of course, the SIAM team on the dance floor? Absolute mayhem. As soon as the music started, it was like a switch flipped—we went from “respectable wedding guests” to “dance floor delinquents” in under 30 seconds. There was jumping, twirling, and a high likelihood that someone attempted a move their knees did not approve of.
