Vanessa and David’s West African celebrations were a full-blown vibe from the very first shutter click. Their pre-wedding shoot in the heart of the city was equal parts sweet, stylish, and slightly sweaty from all the dancing. As reggae chill beats floated from my trusty little Bose speaker, they transformed the streets of Sydney into their own private party. Honestly, the opera house pre-wedding photos were just the cherry on top of an already unforgettable day.
Now, I normally bring along a cheeky bottle of Fireball to help couples loosen up before a shoot. It’s tradition. But these two? They were ready to roll straight out of the gate. No warm-up required. From the first pose, they were twerking like their lives depended on it—setting the tone with high energy, big smiles, and vibes so strong, passing tourists started filming them like street performers. I briefly considered retiring on the spot. Why try to top this?
Once we’d danced, laughed, and possibly scared a few pigeons in the CBD, it was time for an outfit change. Vanessa and David emerged in their traditional West African attire—regal, radiant, and completely camera-ready. They didn’t just wear their culture—they owned it. We made our way to Milk Beach for part two of the shoot, and the scene that greeted us was pure magic.
Sydney really turned it on. The sky exploded into hues of orange, pink, and gold as the sun dipped over the harbour. The water shimmered. The breeze was just the right kind of dramatic. And in the middle of it all were Vanessa and David, somehow glowing even more than the skyline. While the opera house pre-wedding photos are going to live rent-free in everyone’s heads, those final sunset shots? Next level.
All in all, an evening of pure joy, rhythm, and serious style.
