Kripa and Dulan were like that first warm spring breeze—the one that makes you sigh, “Ahh, finally, no more winter depression!” From the moment Kripa messaged me in 2023, I knew their wedding would be special. She said, “Rohan, I’ve seen your wedding films, and I REALLY hope you’re free to shoot our Tamil Poruwa wedding in Sydney!” Honestly, how could I say no to that level of excitement?

Naturally, when someone reaches out with so much enthusiasm, my brain instantly shifts into cinematic masterpiece mode. So, we kicked things off with a pre-wedding shoot at Baulkham Hills High, where they first met—thanks to a now-defunct prefect auction. (Yes, that’s right. Kripa technically bought Dulan. No refunds, no exchanges.)

Then came the wedding, and wow, what an absolute riot! There was laughter, chaos, and dancing—the kind that could make Bollywood directors weep tears of joy. In fact, the sangeet was less of a party and more of a full-blown cardio session. At one point, I swear the dance floor had the energy of a cricket World Cup final—except with less strategy and more spontaneous twirls.

Of course, the highlight was their Tamil Poruwa wedding in Sydney, blending rich cultural traditions with their infectious energy. The ceremony was stunning—equal parts emotional and breathtaking. And, as expected, no Tamil Poruwa wedding is complete without an epic celebration to follow! The reception was a whirlwind of laughter, dance-offs, and pure joy.

SAME DAY EDIT

To make it even more special, I pulled off a same-day video edit. The result? A reaction that can only be described as riproaring pandemonium. There were whistles, cheers, and maybe even a few happy tears (or someone just really liked their dessert). Either way, it was a win. So, huge shoutout to Brian and me for making that magic happen!

All in all, Kripa and Dulan, you two were a dream to film—effortlessly joyful, wonderfully chaotic, and a reminder of why I love capturing weddings. Honestly, you made my job way too easy, and I’ll be forever grateful for that.
